Who we are

Puciers, not tour guides

In Saint-Ouen, the people of the market are called puciers. The dealers, the porters, the families who have held the same stall for three generations, and the neighbours who know which alley opens first on a Friday morning.

We are Flore Grannet and Augustin Rudigoz, and we are neighbours. Our home is a short walk from the markets, in a 1970s building shaped like an ocean liner that everyone around here recognises. We have been hunting these alleys for more than ten years, on Friday mornings before the crowds and on quiet Mondays, and we know who specialises in what.

Flore owns Monnette Paris, a Paris house that restores and engraves French vintage silverware, featured in ELLE, Le Figaro Magazine and Madame Figaro Japon. Every piece Monnette sells was found at a brocante or a flea market stall. That eye for provenance, condition and fair price is what we now put to work for you.

The Puces are the largest concentration of antique dealers in the world, around 2,000 traders across a dozen markets and five streets. It is also a place where a buyer in town for one weekend pays too much, misses the best stalls and then spends weeks working out the shipping. That is the problem we solve.

No retainer. A commission on purchases only, invoiced by a French company.

Shipping, crating and duties are quoted separately, at the shipper's cost. You pay the dealers directly or through us, as you prefer.

Can you ship antiques from the Paris flea market to the US?

Yes. Pieces are consolidated in Saint-Ouen, crated by specialist art shippers and sent by sea or air, door to door. Several of these shippers work right around the market.

Do I pay US import duty on antiques?

Genuine antiques over 100 years old generally enter the US duty-free. More recent vintage pieces follow their normal tariff classification. We supply the dealer invoices and descriptions your customs broker needs.

Do I need a French export licence?

For most pieces, no. Cultural goods above the legal age and value thresholds need a French export certificate. We flag it before you buy and handle the application.

Is VAT refunded for buyers outside the EU?

It depends on how the dealer sells. Many antiques are sold under the margin scheme with no VAT shown, others with VAT that can be removed on export. We check it piece by piece.

Can I come to Paris and walk the market with you?

Yes. A sourcing day together is a good way to start a project, and we follow up remotely afterwards.

How long does it take?

Shortlist within 72 hours of the brief. Shipping takes roughly 1 to 2 weeks by air and 6 to 10 weeks by sea to North America or Asia.

Why do you ask for ID on larger purchases?

As an intermediary in the art and antiques trade, we apply French anti-money-laundering rules: for purchases of €10,000 or more we verify the buyer's identity. It protects you, the dealers and us.
